Equal Opportunity Cell
An equal opportunity cell in colleges is a committee responsible for promoting and ensuring equal access and opportunities for all students, faculty, and staff. Its primary goal is to prevent and address discriminatory practices, harassment, and bias within the college community. The cell typically provides support and resources for individuals who experience or witness discriminatory behavior, investigates complaints, and develops strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus. This includes implementing policies, programs, and training to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the college community.
