Research Interest:

My primary area of research has been with the Anglo-Indian community in the metropolis and the different enclaves of Bengal like Asansol, Liluah, Khanchrapara, Kharagpur etc.

I have looked into the individuals and collective achievements and contributions of the community in the different spheres. From a subaltern past how the community developed itself and played a constructive and a positive role in nation building has been my subject of research. This is important as the community; a microscopic minority has been denied visibility and representation in historical construction of the nation.
