Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups Cell (SEDG)

A Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups Cell (SEDG) in colleges is a committee responsible for

  1. Identification:
    Identifying students who belong to SEDG based on socio-economic criteria. 
  2. Support:
    Providing various forms of support, including financial aid (scholarships, fee waivers), academic assistance (tutoring, remedial classes), and counseling. 
  3. Empowerment:
    Offering skill development workshops, mentorship programs, and career guidance to help students succeed. 
  4. Policy Advocacy:
    Advising the institution on policies to address socio-economic disparities and promote inclusive practices. 
  5. Grievance Redressal:
    Addressing complaints of discrimination or inequitable treatment faced by SEDG members. 

The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups Cell (SEDG) of this college is hereby constituted on 28th March, 2025 (Friday) with the following members:
