NSS
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of our college plays a vital role in nurturing a spirit of community service and social responsibility among students. Since its inception on 27th March, shortly after the college was established in July 2015, the unit has grown steadily, with over a hundred volunteers joining in its initial phase. In line with the Government of India’s guidelines, an NSS Advisory Committee was promptly formed to guide and monitor the unit’s activities.
Our journey began with an induction meet on 23rd March 2017, graced by the presence of Dr. Ramaprasad Bhattacharya, the NSS State Officer, which served as a significant motivational boost for the team. Since then, the unit has remained active in organizing seminars, awareness drives, cleanliness campaigns, and health initiatives with the enthusiastic support of our Principal, faculty, non-teaching staff, and students.
The NSS unit is built on the core values of service, leadership, and inclusivity. Our volunteers are known for their commitment, creativity, and courage in addressing local issues and engaging with the community. From blood donation camps and tree plantation drives to educational outreach and gender sensitization workshops, the activities undertaken reflect the true spirit of "Not Me, But You."
Each event not only contributes to the betterment of society but also shapes the personal and ethical development of our volunteers. Through active participation, students learn valuable life skills, cultivate empathy, and develop a broader perspective on national and global issues.
With a vibrant and determined team, our NSS unit continues to strive toward making meaningful contributions to society. We remain steadfast in our mission to serve, grow, and inspire — upholding the ideals of the NSS and extending the spirit of service beyond the college gates.
